Los Campesinos! are alt-pop NME favourites from Cardiff, making waves with their brand of power-punk-pop laced with sixties psychedelia and prog-rock. '...the kind of thing that's so terrifyingly promising it gives you a headache just thinking about it.' Los Campesinos! are proud to announce a mammoth UK tour in February 2010. The dates will coincide with the release of the bands new album ‘Romance Is Boring” released on the 1st February 2010 through Wichita Recordings. The tour includes the bands biggest London show to date at Camden’s Koko on the 25th February.

‘Romance is Boring’ was recorded and mixed between March and June of 2009 in Seattle, Connecticut and Monmouthshire with producer John Goodmanson. It features guest appearances from Jamie Stewart, Zac Pennington and Jherek Bischoff. The album also reveals the bands first experiments with brass and far wider instrumentation than they have employed before and according to the band is a record “about the death and decay of the human body, lost love, mental breakdown, and football.”

Islet are a four-piece Cardiff experimental rock band. Essentially Cardiff’s supergroup, Islet comprises members (or past members of) The Victorian English Gentlemens Club, Attack + Defend, Fredrick Stanley Star and Them Squirrels. Despite having only a few recorded songs and as of yet no online profile (such as MySpace), Islet have had considerable success, playing Swn Festival 09, supporting Lovvers, featuring on BBC Radio Wales, and being featured in the NME. Islet are also booked to play Huw Stephens’ Happy Huw Year Tour. The band have gained a significant amount of press coverage for their “shun” of the internet, not having a MySpace or band website.
