Gig Guide: Sat 1st Aug

Sat 1st Aug 20:00 THE SWIINES :: WHITEMOOR :: DIRTY TUX :: EVIES HERO'S

Formed less than 1 year ago out of the ashes of 2 of the city’s more well-known underground bands, The Swiines have already caused quite-a-stir within their home town of Nottingham and surrounding areas. These 4 talented individuals with a passion for writing great music and playing live gigs have already proven that they have what it takes to rub shoulders with the big boys and play their unforgettable tunes on the big stages. Combining rawness, dirty sounds, passion and energy, The Swiines live performances get every single person in the room singing or bouncing along to their songs. With regular airplay by legendary BBC DJ Dean Jackson, a live performance on Richard Bacon’s BBC 5 Live show, and getting chosen to support The Subways at Rock city by the band themselves, 2009 looks like The Swiines maybe ‘the band’ that come up with the goods.

WhiteMoor formed in April 2009 from the remains of two of Derbys finest bands Ejectorseat and The Beau Peepshow. This will be their first live show playing exclusively all new material.

Dirty Tux are 3 Best of friends from small town Derbyshire breaking down the hatches from the typical pigeon hole of bands. Dirty and catchey Rock n Roll like Iggy Pop gettin wrecked with the Kings of Leon.

Evies Hero's are the fast paced energetic Rock sound from the Burton On Trent Midlands. Together their energetic performances and hard to resist original material has hypnotised audiences from North to South. There is something in the show for everybody; they blend their own material in to a set of all your favourite rock bands from the 70s, 80s, 90s and now!! So if you want to hear The Kaiser Chiefs, U2, The Police and the Killers all on the same play list this is the Best way to hear it!!
