Rugosa Nevada are a midlands based four piece, who formed in the spring of 2008. Their blend of influences have ensured the band a fresh sound that is hard to come by and even harder to forget. The band recorded a two track Demo at Dub:Rek studio in August 2008, (which has been requested by fans as far as the USA), before breaking onto the gigging scene in December 2008. Since their live debut late last year, Rugosa Nevada have played a huge number of gigs across Britain.

They have recently recorded their debut EP with Alan Smyth, the critically acclaimed producer (produced Arctic Monkeys; Reverend & The Makers; Pulp and The Long Blondes), in his Sheffield studio at the end of May, with the eventual EP release planned for the end of June.

The Park Bench started on a cold February morning 2005 when Lloyd, asleep on a park bench was awakened by the sound of winter and a nylon acoustic guitar. He met up with guitarist Dale in a room at the YMCA where they started to record and write songs.
