Max Raptor
Schizophrenic & energetic, Max Raptor are claiming 2009 as the year of the Raptor. Already they have massive support from Kerrang! Radio, The Fly and radio stations and venues all over the U.K. Wil Ray fronts the 4 piece rock/ punk, whip-crack of a band with agitated vocals and fast guitars. You can almost see the chains when they play. Like their music they‚re tethered but frenzied, It‚s high energy, well thought out and most importantly, believable. They caught the attention of Benjamin Kowalewicz, lead singer of Billy Talent and he said Max Raptor are awesome! It's nice to hear a unique sounding band now a days‚
After forming in 2007 they have toured the Country and picked up loyal legions of Raptor followers from the four corners of the U.K playing Club NME, HMV showcases with the likes of Cage the Elephant, Oceansize, Mystery Jets, Hot Club de Paris, Frank Turner, Captain, Black Sabbath‚s Toni Iommi and Kerrang! Radio and set to perform this year with Young Knives, Nine Black Alps, Noah & The Whale, Kasabian, Supergrass, BSP and many more. The band enjoyed their first year of full on gigging; supporting Cage the Elephant infront of 4,000 people in central Birmingham was definitely the highlight. JB, Tom, Wil and Matt are currently working with producer and engineer Sam Bell. Sam has worked with some of the biggest artists of this young Century; Bloc Party, Snow Patrol, Editors, Weezer, R.E.M and U2 and has seen the potential that Max Raptor have in their raw, original sound. They support Billy Talent on the 9th and 10th June, The Zutons on 19th June and continue their UK tour up and down the UK and it's what they've been waiting for...Max Raptor are currently working with Kong Management/promotions in Brighton and with a summer packed full of festivals, gigs and events . . . 2009 is shaping up to how they billed it;
