Chris Helme
Singer-songwriter who gained recognition as frontman with The Seahorses, the band formed by former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire. The Seahorses issued the bands only album Do It Yourself, produced by the legendary producer Tony Visconti. Do It Yourself was followed by four successful singles. 'Love is the Law' reached no. 2 in the UK Singles Chart; 'Blinded by the Sun' got to no. 7 and ‘ Love Me and Leave Me’ and ‘You Can Talk to Me’ both reached no.15. In 1999, after 3 years of intensive touring, including support slots with acts such as Rolling Stones, U2 and Oasis.

After The Seahorses split Chris played a series of low key solo gigs before forming The Yards in 2002. Alongside his work with The Yards, Chris Helme also performs as a solo artist. His debut album 'Ashes' was released in May 2008 via gigs and through his MySpace page.

3 Ring Circus
They began writing songs in bedrooms andrehearsing in various pubs, boxing gyms and garages. Then in 2005 came the bands first major statement, in the form of theirdebut album “Between the Lines.” Release nationally by Nova BombRecords, the album received great reviews and lead to the band beingplayed on National Radio, appearing in front of 30,000 people at theirhome town soccer stadium and a support tour with Seattle legends ThePosies. 2007 saw the release of the follow up “A Different Light” onExit Records, 10 songs which saw the band refine their sound further.

But things change…….The band has re emerged in 2008 with a new sound. More acoustic, moresoulful with tender melodies and pop hooks working their way into thelisteners subconscious until they have no choice but to hum along. Fans of RyanAdams, Turin Brakes, Pearl Jam, Tom McRae, Counting Crows and Neil Young will appreciate the bands new direction and their heartfelt musings on lifeand the universe.

Ryan Lauder
Born and raised in South West Scotland now living in England. Ryan started writing songs when he was 16, well pretty much as soon as he got my first guitar. You know the kind, the one that you always see in the charity shops obviously Spanish with a neck that thick your hand goes numb after trying to play a B minor. Soon after, he moved to England and now plays regularly around the Derby area.
