We are pleased to announce that Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens will launch The Indie Disco.

Huw Stephens presents the BBC Introducing shows on BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday nights: Huw Stephens' In New Music We Trust Best of BBC Introducing at 9pm-10pm and BBC Introducing with Huw Stephens midnight-2am. Huw's passion for discovering and championing new music was spotted when at 17 he joined Radio 1 for its Nations output to reflect the music scene in Wales. Huw ran his own record label and writes regularly for various publications. He became a national presenter on Radio 1 as frontman of the OneMusic show in 2005. Huw has presented several documentaries for Radio 1, as well as regularly standing in for Zane Lowe, Rob da Bank, Colin Murray and Jo Whiley for a bank holiday special.

The Shaiyans
The night will also feature a live set from The Shaiyans who hail from Manchester and have the likes of Oasis and The Enemy as part of their growing fanbase despite only playing a handful of shows. They mix psychedelic Beatles with Sly Stone funk creating a delicious retro, toe-tapping sound.
