Fri 18th Jul 20:00 Underground Mountain / Enoch Stone / Toon Union

Underground Mountain / Enoch Stone / Toon Union

Underground Mountain - This rich, full bodied, new world band has a crisp and altoghther fresh burst on the pallet, yet has all the deep hints of maturity and undertones from the old school. Its subtlte yet almost ambient audio flavor contrasting perfectly with its darker splashes of rock and blues riffs. This leaves you with a mellow/harsh aftertaste that both calms and exhilarates, with every large ear full. Its blend of powerfully sweet Bournemouth vocal, deep Derbyshire coal mining drum thunder, guitar burst, plucked straight from the east slopes of Staffordshire and a fair injection of spice enriched Guernsey bass, leaving you with a sense of wanting more and more. A live audio tasting is highly recommended after any meal. (underground mountain should be absorbed responsibly)

Enoch Stone wer formed officially in February 2007, but has it's roots well back in 2000 at West Park school in Spondon where 14 year old Geraint Fletcher decided to learn the guitar by getting lessons from his Maths teacher at lunch time. Since then, writing, rehearsing, gigging and some times arguing have taken Enoch Stone from Strength to strength despite Matt's inconvenient choice of University in Plymouth.

Toon Union

Formed in 2008 Toon Union are the acoustic love child of Smurf and Elmo's previous ska band, with the later addition of Si on Percussion.
Currently playing various open mic nights including; Ryan's Bar and Barracuda Open Mic. The bands sound is mainly acoustic ska with additional influences such as dub, reggae and punk to create a hopefully origianl sound. With a cool yet fun loving stage pressence moving from slow-time dub to bouncy happy ska in a short set, Toon Union cover all bases and hope to provide an experiance you won't forget!
